1st Order Change

First order change is doing more, or less, of what we are already doing in order to change behaviour.

1st Position

To experience things through your own eyes and your own point of view. This is one of three perceptual positions, the others being Second Position and Third position. Sometimes also referred to as Associated.

Another way of describing the unconscious mind.

2nd Order Change

A change which takes place higher than the problem which is being worked on. For example if I were drowning in a pool I would want to learn to swim, but if the pool drained of water my problem would go away.

2nd Position

To experience things through someone elses eyes using their point of view. This is one of three perceptual positions, the others being Second Position and Third position. Sometimes also referred to as Dissociated.

3rd Order Change

A change which is two logical levels above the problem so far specified. Sometimes considered an Evolutionary Change.

4 Tuple

A notational system to document any particular experience with the premise that our experiences are composed of some combination of the four primary representational systems Audio, Visual, Kinesthetic and Olfactory. Exactly where Gustatory fits in all this I don't know :-)

6 Step Reframing

An NLP technique which allows you to shift people from one state to another using techniques which resolve inner conflicts in order to achieve a more positive outcome.
